I have been teaching for over 30 years. In those years, I have taught in three states and three countries. The field of education and teaching has evolved through the years, and I feel that I have as well. In teaching, one must continually learn, change, and grow. I have done this with the help of all of the teachers and administrators I have worked with over the years in various settings and grade levels in special education and general education. My most important teachers have been the students I have taught. Each child brings a new and different set of needs and expectations of what I must provide to serve them well. Lastly, my family also has helped form me as a teacher. Being a mother and a wife are just two more roles that require constant change and adjustment. Everyday, I pray that I am a positive influence on all I encounter, whether in school or in the community.
